Hi, I’m Stephanie.
I teach American Mahjong in a way that’s clear, relaxed, and welcoming — so you can actually enjoy playing, not just memorizing rules.
Whether you’re brand new or looking to build confidence, my goal is simple: take the intimidation out of the game and replace it with clarity, connection, and fun.
MahjWithMoxi is about more than learning Mahjong - It’s about gathering around the table, hearing the clicks of the tiles, using your brain, laughing with friends, and feeling confident enough to play on your own.
Based in the East Bay, MahjWithMoxi is building a modern, welcoming Mahjong community for players at every stage of the game.
How It Works
Learn
We break American Mahjong down clearly and simply — no pressure, no rushing, and no assumptions. You’ll learn the rules, patterns, and flow of the game in a way that is fun and actually makes sense.
Play
You’ll start playing hands right away in a relaxed, social setting. Questions are encouraged, mistakes are welcomed and expected, and confidence builds naturally as you play.
Belong
Learning doesn’t stop after your lessons. You become part of a welcoming community that plays together, practices together, and keeps Mahjong fun and social.
